Citation Sized Spanish Mackerel on the Nearshore Reefs.
Whheeeeeewww. We've had a long hot summer with high water temperatures in the upper 80's to 90's. On top of that the bait fish have been nowhere to be found. That's making the fishing difficult but we are managing to pull out some really good days of fishing.. Over the past week or so the bait has started to show up and we're targeting Citation Sized Spanish Mackerel on the Nearshore Reefs. The Flounder also have been biting making our 1/2 day Nearshore Charters very Promising.7-10-16 July is here and so are the BIG SHARKS!!!
Over the past couple weeks the SW wind has kept us from fishing in the ocean. When we do get out we've been catching Sharks in the 70 to 150lb class within 1 mile of the beach. A short 3 to 4 hr trip is perfect for this time of year. We're also catching Flounder, Speckled Trout, Red and Black Drum in the Intracoastal water way.6-7-2016 Backwater and Nearshore Fishing Producing Extremely Good Trips
Inshore fishing has been really good over the past couple weeks. Good #s of Speckled Trout, Flounder, Drum, Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel. Nearshore trips were catching Blues, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Monster Cobia, Huge Sharks, and few other Species. Check out the pictures below!!!!!!!!
