September 2014 Holden Beach Fishing Report
9-16-14. MONSTER DRUM ARE MOVING IN OFF HOLDEN BEACH, N.C. 910-448-3474
Today we had an incredible day of fishing with the Wellman family from Gastonia, N.C. We landed some very respectable Red Drum over 40 in. Long, citation sized Spanish Mackerel and sharks as fast as we could get the baits out. Fishing is very good right now and I'm really looking forward to the King Mackerel that should start to show up any day now. If you're coming to Holden Beach, N.C. And would like to go catch some trophy class fish then give me a call at 910-448-3474.9-14-14 Mid-September Fishing Specials
Hey folks. I have a few days open this week and would really like to fill those spots. The fishing has been incredible over the past few days!!! The most popular trip right now is either a 5hr or 6hr trip. On this trip we will be trolling live bait on light tackle for Monster Spanish Mackerel. Also I expect the big Bull Drum to show in good numbers any day now. A few have already showed up and they will defiantly give you a run for your money. If you have SHARK FEVER then you have come to the right place. Plenty of big sharks on the beach right now. Come on down to Holden Beach, N.C. And and jump on the boat with Capt. Kevin Sneed to see what Mid September fishing is all about.9-6-14 From the Backwater to the Bluewater the Fishing has been Good
The fishing has been great on most days with just a couple days of slow fishing over the past month or so. My most popular trip right now is to go and target MONSTER SPANISH MACKEREL on a 5 hour nearshore charter. On this trip you will have a blast fishing with light spinning tackle while catching citation size Spanish. Also the Big Bull Drum should be showing in good numbers as soon as we can get a good cool front with some consistent cool North winds for a few days. That is a recipe for some great fishing along Holden Beach, North Carolina. Now is also a great time to go Wahoo Fishing. This full moon in September always produces good action for wahoo along the break in the Gulf Stream. This trip is only for my Salty Dawg Hardcore Fisherman as the ride can be long and the battle between You and the Wahoo can be very intense with Blood, Sweat and Tears mixed in. Check out the photos of some good clients who have been fishing with Capt. Kevin Sneed of Rigged and Ready Charters.
