May 2014 Holden Beach Fishing Report

5-27-14 Carolina Slam Kinda Day with Rigged and Ready Charters

The fishing in Holden Beach has been incredible over the past few weeks. We are now fishing almost 7 days a week from sun up till sun down. The half day Nearshore trips have been producing lots and lots of fish. Everything from King Mackerel, Cobia, Spanish, Sea Bass, and Sharks. The Backwater fishing is as good as it gets right now. Today I took out some repeats Joe and Jeana Badger from Ash County and they absolutely put it to the Flounder, Drum , and Trout.  Check out the pictures below. image image image image image

5-14-14 Nearshore Trips Producing Monster Cobia.

Had the opportunity to run a Nearshore trip yesterday and man was it successful. We are having some incredible fishing along Holden Beach and Oak Island. Had a couple from the mountains that had never been fishing in the ocean before and man let me tell you it was the best fishing trip they had ever been on. The fishing is on fire right now. Don't wait till the last minute to book your trip. CALL NOW 910-448-FISH (3474) image image image image

5-12-14 Love It When A Plan Comes Together

Today was a day where everything went perfect. My client this morning was also a Charter Boat Captain from Michigan and guides trips on the Great Lakes for mostly Salmon!!  Lol. The pressure was on to represent North Carolina and how " WE ROLL". He said first thing, you think we can go catch a shark. I looked at him and just smiled. Any way long story short first bait in the water we landed a 250lb bull shark. Then we left there and set out looking for Cobia and King Mackerel.  Ended the day with 2 monster Kings and 2 very respectable Cobia on a 4 hour 1/2 day trip. Check out the pictures below. image image image

5-12-14 Fishing On Fire From The Beach To The Gulfstream

Been running trips almost everyday and the fishing is incredible right now!!!  Half day trips are producing monster Cobia and King Mackerel along with some Monster Bull sharks in the 300 to 500 lb range. On our offshore trips we are catching mahi, wahoo, and tuna as fast as we can get the baits out. 20 mahi a day is average. So come on down and let's go fishing!!! Also the bottom fishing is extremely good right now. Grouper, Snapper, Black Bass and Trigger Fish. image image image image

5-3-14 Fishing Season Is In Full Swing

Finally the weather has warmed up and the water temp is staying around 70 degrees with plenty of bait on the beach. We have had an epic Spanish Mackerel bite going on and the King Mackerel have showed up right on the beach. image
