5-18-12---------- 1/2 Day Trolling

5-18-12------ If you are ready to catch some Spanish Mackeral then now is the time to come on down. We had our limit today in less then 2 hours. I had two clients on the boat so we were able to keep 30 Spanis Mackeral and about dozen Blue Fish. Check out the pic. below.

5-17-12 Spanish Mackeral and Sharks

5-17-12          What a day we had today!!!!!  Took out some folks from Elizabeth Town, NC and we started off a little slow but we gradually started working pretty hard on the Spanish Mackeral. At one time we had three fish on at one time. Talk about exciting... For the last hour or so we went hunting for Sharks and it wasnt long at all we were hooked up and then another rod took off and we were doubled up on some very nice sharks. At one time " I Kid You Not " there were over 100 sharks swimming in a school right beside the boat. Makes you think twice before going swimming in the water.

5-16-12----- Big Sharks Everywhere

Today Rigged and Ready Charters had a half day fishing trip on the beach. The Spanish mackerel and Blue Fish are very thick and we worked on them for about two hours and then went shark fishing. First line in the water and a Black Tip Shark around 50lbs hammerd the bait and ran off 75 yards of line in the blink of an eye. We ended up with around 10 Sharks in about an hour with non stop action. It was really fun to watch as my client was doing battle with the biggest fish of his life!!!!

5-14-12 BIG SHARKS ROAMING THE BEACH.

Hey guys!!! Quick report. Ive been on the water for the past few days and the Spanish Mackeral, and BIG SHARKS are chewing like Bull Dogs right off the beach. The King Mackeral have showed up as well but are not as consistant. Its a hit or miss. Big Cobia are moving in on the near-shore reefs and can be caught while fishing for King Mackeral or we can specifically target them with live bait or artificials. The weather looks a little ruff offshore this week but don't let that stop you from catching some big fish near the beach. Gulfstream fishing has been on fire and continues to get better and better as summer time approaches with double digit catches of Mahi- Mahi with a hand full of wahoo in the 30 to 50 lb class mixed in.

5-7-12 Half Day Offshore

What a great day we had today. We originally were targeting big cobie near a reef right offshore when a huge bull red drum ate one of our baits. This fish was landed on 20lb test mono and put up a great fight. We took a picture, threw high fives and realesed her. I love seeing big fish like that realesed to live to fight another day.

5-6-12 Full Day Offshore.

Well today went really good. We caught lots of Amberjacks and boated 3 nice Mahi. Fishing is wide open, come on down and get in on some of the action.

5-1-12 Half Day Offshore Trip Produces Trigger Fish!!!!!!!!!

Today was a beautiful day on the water. Took a group out from Minnesota and they had never been fishing off out beach before, so the pressure was on to show them a good time. I decided since there were three adults and three children the best trip for them would be catch and release black bass. As soon as we located a huge school it was on. They were catching black bass two at a time and then the youngest of them all said LOOK AT WHAT I GOT... Low and behold he was hooked up to a trigger fish and we were only 7 miles out. I have never personally caught a trigger fish that close in before. So I thought it was neat and really enjoyed fishing with them today. Here a pic. of the trigger fish below.

4-30-12 Inshore Fishing For Reds and Flounder

Had a great group today and the flounder and red fish seemed to have had lockjaw. We still managed to pull a few fish out. Check the pics. out below.Image
